Hosting FAQ’s

Where are your servers located

Our Servers are physically located within London in the Equinix London Data Centres making our service ideal for anyone with a target audience in the UK or Western Europe.

If your customer base is spread even wider you may wish to consider our Global Business package making use of a Global CDN network.

If your customer base is specifically located only in the US or Australia for example we probably won’t be the best choice of hosts, but we’ll be happy to help you pick a reliable hosting partner in these locations.

How does 24/7 Uptime Monitoring work?

We automatically check your website is online every 5 minutes, if for any reason your site isn’t online we will automatically be notified allowing us to look into the issue before you or your customers were ever aware there was a problem.

What do you mean by fully managed?

We’ll manage your hosting for you so there is no need to know how to configure your DNS server, setup your CDN, add an email account, setup your secure certificates or configure your server backups, we’ll do all this and more, if you need a specific setting changed or updated, just let us know and we’ll perform the changes for you.

We’ll also perform a complete WordPress site migration from your old host for you if you purchase your hosting annually.

Alternatively you may like to make the changes yourself, that’s fine also, we provide full access to a control panel.

How does your offsite storage work?

In addition to our automated daily offsite backups, all of our hosting packages have the option of making further offsite backups as and when required. Our backup space comes in bundles of 50Gb with one flat fee of £5 per 50Gb.

We don’t limit your backup space, if you like to take lots of backups that’s fine, we just charge for as much or a little space as you use each month. The cut off date for any monthly overage charge is the 1st of the month, so if you go a little over within the month and drop back down before the first of the month, don’t worry, there’s no charge.
